Member Opportunities - St. John - Dyer Chamber of Commerce

We’ve organized a wide array of events to draw value from your Chamber Membership. Attend any combination of networking opportunities; sponsor a select group of outings that elevate your brand with targeted audiences; or participate in our philanthropic partnerships and community engagements.

Below is a list of just some of the opportunities made available exclusively to Members. Each of these can be found with more detail, tickets where applicable, and sponsorship packages in our Events Schedule.

Spring Trivia and BINGO Events

Our gaming events are designed to engage with target audiences within our Dyer and St. John communities. These are public-facing events, where families and friends of local business can come and bond through light-hearted competition. Event sponsors can showcase their brands, goods and services, or causes through: sponsorship, providing gift cards (in $10 increments) to be used as game prizes, or by donating a basket of products that will be raffled off during the event. Raffle proceeds almost exclusively benefit our scholarship fund.

Scholarship Program

Our Scholarships Make a Difference

The St. John-Dyer Chamber awarded four $1,000 scholarships this past year to graduating High School Seniors pursuing continued education in their fields. To be considered for a chamber scholarship the applicant must be a graduating senior, living in the town of St. John or Dyer. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need, academic ability, commitment to receiving an education, and community service and involvement. Applications can be downloaded from our Website after March 7th of 2025 and are also available through the Chamber office.

Dual Chamber Golf Outing

High-Value Client & Partner Networking Event

This is a collaboration event with the Schererville Chamber that happens in early Fall (Aug/Sept). Participants are encouraged to leverage this event for client appreciation, business outings, networking, and opportunities to showcase your brand in front of local influencers. Hole sponsorships, golfer goodie bag donor, cart sponsor, raffle games with prizes, and other opportunities are available.

Fall in Love with Your Business Expo

Networking Lunch & Vendor Fair

This is a multi-chamber collaboration event in partnership with Schererville, Munster, Lansing, and Highland. The event typically occurs the second week of September. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their business in a B2B setting as well as to connect with the public during open hours of the event. Every year our Expo grows larger and there are more prizes, raffles, leads, and relationships to be had! The expo is immediately followed by a highly coveted networking lunch. Tickets are pre-sale only, so watch for promotions to begin in late summer, or contact us for more information and to be added to our mailing list.

Dyer Holiday Lights

We are excited to host the 2nd Annual Dyer Holiday Lights at Central Park!

For a sponsorship fee you can feature your business, organization, school, church, club, family, and more! Trees will be placed along our tree walk to light up the December nights with official lighting Thanksgiving weekend running through New Year’s Day. 2025 Pricing and launch dates will be available in September.

*Trees are limited to 60, so don’t delay or you may miss out!*

Trees are approximately 6′ high and will be installed for you. All you have to do is decorate! Visit our Event page to learn more!

Breakfast with Santa

Our time-honored Santa Breakfast event serves a delicious buffet breakfast, catered by a local restaurant, to families in our community. Every child receives a goody bag filled with holiday treats donated by local businesses, and a chance to enter a toy raffle. Of course, the event would not be complete without a visit from Mrs. Claus and The Big Man himself… SANTA! Each child has the opportunity to meet & greet Mr. and Mrs. Claus as well as have a professional photo taken at no additional charge!

Guest appearances have been made by Olaf, local school and/or church choirs singing holiday favorites, and spotlight performances from a local dance studio sharing excerpts from their Holiday Dance Showcase.

Opportunities to sponsor are available on our event pages. The Chamber has been hosting this event for many years and it is enjoyed by young and old.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies for New Businesses

If you are a new business looking to launch your location, or a seasoned professional looking to expand your network, ribbon-cutting events are a great opportunity to support local businesses and network. Announcements are made in our weekly eNewsletter for upcoming events.
Monthly Member Meetings – Organized over lunch

Our monthly member meetings take place on the second Wednesday of each month at various, pre-scheduled, chamber member venues. We are always looking for new locations and caterers. Interested? Email office@stjohndyerchamber.com today with your recommendations.

Monthly Connecting Over Coffee Networking Events

Join us at 8:30 am on the fourth Wednesday of each month for coffee and conversation. Free to attend for members and open to the general public, these events are a great way to stay connected!
Hear from our Board of Directors as well as committee members about what is new in the Chamber. Connect with members of our local business community to swap business cards, make introductions, and showcase what your business is promoting to a group of engaged peers.

Weekly Communications for Members and Subscribers

Our Newsletter goes out weekly to subscribers across Northwest Indiana. As a Chamber member, we invite you to share your promotions, events, updates, and calls for action to our audience. Newsletter submissions should be sent to the office by Thursday at noon to be included in the Friday communications.
